May 18, 2022This is a pretty good days work. The new underpainting method is working very well, helping me work out painting problems in advance. And since 5YR is the most common color in nature it's a great base for just about any subject.
But I just ordered a few Vasari greens to see what happens if I do a 5Y underpainting. There's no reason why the color used in the underpaintings can't be tuned to a specific color.
